What happens if I miss a check-in?
You get reminded well before anything happens, on whichever channels you've enabled. Only after several check-ins are missed in a row does Tricollo begin passing your vault on to your trusted contact.
What does my trusted contact actually receive?
An invite to generate their own recovery phrase, entirely in their browser. That phrase, and the key it derives, never leave their device, and are only ever used if a handoff genuinely happens.
Is Tricollo a legal will?
No. Tricollo doesn't create a will or any legal authority over your estate. It simply makes sure the person you choose can reach files you've decided to share with them. For estate planning, please talk to a lawyer.
Can I change my trusted contact or check-in schedule?
Yes, anytime, directly from Settings, with no waiting period and no questions asked.
Is my data really private?
Yes. Files are encrypted on your device before they're ever uploaded, and the key that unlocks your vault is never stored anywhere as a whole. Not even we can read your files.
Is Tricollo available on Android?
Not yet. Tricollo is currently iOS only, built natively in SwiftUI.
What's the real difference between Free and Pro?
Free covers the basics: one vault, 250 MB of storage, and one trusted contact. Pro adds unlimited vaults, up to 20 GB of storage, up to three trusted contacts, a custom check-in schedule, and reminders by email and SMS on top of push. Both are visible in the app once you download it.
